Welcome to the official launch of the Starbucks Calorie Calculator – Version 1.1! Over the past year, we’ve built, tested, and refined this tool from the ground up, all with one goal: to give you full control over your Starbucks experience—nutritionally, visually, and interactively. This update merges months of feature development, UI improvements, nutritional data alignment, and new functionalities into one massive release.

🌟 What’s New

  1. Smart Customization Detection: All preloaded customizations now show as DEFAULT, user changes appear as MOD, and new customizations are labeled as NEW — so you know exactly what you’re drinking.
  2. Summer Menu Support: Horchata Syrup, Raspberry Pearls (Scoop), Summer Berry Base, and seasonal foods now included!
  3. Spring Additions: Added drinks like Iced Lavender Cream Matcha, Cherry Chai Latte, and matching Cold Foams, Drizzles, and Powders.
  4. Refresher Base Options: Full support for Refresher Base changes, now live.
  5. Milk Splash Selector: Dedicated milk splash control now available separately under the Milk dropdown.
  6. “No Milk” Option: Don’t want milk at all? Select “No Milk” directly.

🔢 Nutritional Data Improvements

  • Over 80 drinks and 45+ customizations have had their nutritional data updated or refined, including:

  • Adjustments made for all sizes: Tall, Grande, Venti, and Trenta.
  • Calculations now dynamically scale with drink size and intensity levels (Light, Regular, Extra).
  • Tooltip descriptions for calories and ingredients improved for better clarity.
  • Duplicate customizations (e.g., Raspberry Pearls in Add-ins) were marked clearly to prevent incorrect usage.

🧠 Behavior & Logic Enhancements

  • Customizations are now saved intelligently across page reloads — including selected drink, size, and category.
  • Major improvements in calorie calculation logic when changing sizes or ingredient intensity.
  • Preloaded items don’t crowd the customization list unless actively edited.
  • Scoop labels updated (e.g., “0 Scoops” now appears as “No Scoop”).

🎄 Holiday & Seasonal Features

  • Winter Menu Integration: Pistachio, Cortado, and Cran-merry drinks supported.
  • Festive Customizations: Preloaded holiday syrups, cold foams, and toppings added with accurate calorie metrics.
  • Seasonal Indicator: Items newly added are now marked with a ✨🆕 icon.

  • Simplified homepage: Only one dropdown for product selection, filtered by category.
